On 28th Aug, Mysha had an event in school called the "Oriental Melodies" in appreciation of Chinese culture. (Yes, Mysha learns Chinese in school! I would not have ever imagined that)Childrenperformances were arranged as a part of the 2 hr event. Even the youngest batch of toddlers - Mysha's batch, was to perform for the day. Dressed in a pretty red dress, with ribbons in her hair, Mysha looked like a doll.
We were later told by teacher Alice that Mysha hand picked the golden trinklets and stuck them on her dress (each toddler designed his(her) own dress!). Her performance just included shaking to the tune of a Chinese song with jingle bells tied to her wrist. Before her performance, all was well, but suddenly she caught Ilyas and me taking photos in the crowd and that was it... she started crying. Somehow teacher Joyce consolled her, but the damage was done... her eyes kept searching us. She went on the patio with the other toddlers to perform and just stood there not moving at all... Neverthless the event was enjoyable. I also got to meet the mommies of the other kids in her class and we had a small sharing session with them.
